Trey Cooke graduated from Appalachian State University in 2015 and received his Juris Doctorate from Campbell University's School of Law in 2018. While a law student, he served as the Public Interest Law Student Association President and Innocence Project Vice President. He also served on the Law Clinic Advisory Council Board, participated in the Death Row Visitation Project, and led Restorative Justice Classes at Butner's Federal Correctional Institution. During his final year of law school, he completed a one-year internship at the Federal Public Defender's Office - Eastern District of North Carolina. Through his various engagements as a law student, Trey provided several hundred hours' worth of pro bono legal work for clients in need. His training and experience has allowed him to excel as an attorney inside and outside of the courtroom.

Trey Cooke is licensed to practice law in North Carolina. His areas of practice include foreclosure and collection law, Homeowners Association representation, family law, estate law, trust law, and criminal defense. Trey is an active member of the North Carolina State Bar and the Wake County Bar Association. He serves clients in the following North Carolina Counties: Brunswick, Columbus, Bladen, Robeson, and New Hanover.

Trey Cooke was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. He became interested in practicing law as a high school student when he began volunteering as a youth prosecutor and defense attorney through Wake County's Capital Area Teen Court Program. Trey is a lifelong cyclist. During college, he worked as a Mountain Bike Instructor at Beech Mountain and competed in National Championships with the Appalachian State University Cycling Team. Trey recently moved to Wilmington, North Carolina with Monique Cooke, his wife, who works as a Law Clerk in New Hanover County. In his free time, he enjoys attending church, playing guitar, and relaxing in nature. He is also the proud parent of two rescue pets: a dog named Ginsburg and a cat named Siena.
