Our Team

The attorneys at the law firm of Watts Law Group PLLC have more than 40 years of combined experience in the practice of law. Our broad collective background allows us to provide quality legal services in a variety of key practice areas, including estate planning and probate, homeowners association law, foreclosures, construction law, criminal law, business law and collections, personal injury and family law.

Attorney S. Denise Watts is licensed to practice in South Carolina and North Carolina. All of our lawyers are licensed to practice in North Carolina, and we are all members of the 15th Judicial District Bar, the Brunswick County Bar Association and the North Carolina Bar Association. In addition, Ms. Watts is admitted to handle cases before the U.S. Supreme Court, and the South Carolina Bar.

Amanda Tolley

Amanda Tolley

Amanda Tolley was born and raised in Chesterfield, VA. She started working at a family-owned grocery store during high school and worked with them for about 10 years before pursuing her career in the legal profession in 2019. In 2019 she started working for KPM Law in Richmond, VA as a Legal Assistant and within a year took a Paralegal position in their Workers’ Compensation department. She started learning all the ins and outs of the legal field before her family decided it was time for a change. Amanda and her family moved to Brunswick County and stayed with her mother-in-law in Calabash, NC before permanently residing in Whiteville, NC in 2021. Amanda joined Watts Phanco Law Group, PLLC in 2021 as their Legal Assistant and has been a wonderful addition to our office.

Heather Bath

Heather Bath

Heather Bath was born and raised in Shallotte and loves calling this growing town her home. Heather began her college education at Campbell University and later graduated with honors from Mount Olive College with a degree in Business Management and Organizational Development. She started her career in local government where she remained for nearly fourteen years working with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit, Village of Bald Head Island, and the Brunswick County Tax Office as Deputy Tax Collector. Continuing with a passion for public service and helping others, she transitioned to the legal field for eleven years as a criminal paralegal where she worked alongside attorneys in their representation of individuals charged with felonies ranging from drug offenses to capital murder. Heather served as Director for a property owners association management company prior to joining our team in April 2024. Heather’s years of experience and array of practice areas has allowed her to be an effective paralegal within her brief tenure at Watts Phanco Law Group PLLC.

Paul Roy

Paul Roy

Paul Roy was born and raised in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. After graduating high school in 2020, Paul decided to obtain his bachelor’s degree from Clemson University. During his summers in between semesters, he interned for Congressional Representatives multiple times in Washington, D.C. as well as having a summer internship in our office in 2022. Paul graduated from Clemson University in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management and two minors in Accounting and Legal Studies. Shortly after graduation, Paul rejoined our team and is in the process of obtaining his paralegal license. Paul has vast experience amongst different practice areas of our firm as well as a deep understanding of the judicial and legislative processes.
